Yay for me! I finally got my new WordPress theme up and running tonight. Thanks to Courtney at Crushlabs. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

Look, let me be honest. I come from a German background and it irked me to no end that my website looked different to my blog. Things need to be in the same place. So I’m really happy that my website and my blog look the same. So people surfing between the two don’t feel lost.

OK, it’s Sunday evening, and I’m not supposed to be working, but suffice to say … I’m happy!

I’ll post something a little more useful in the week!

Winter doldrums

So the last few days have been filled with lots of rain and ice cold winds. Everyone at Webexposure HQ have been feeling a little “bleh” as a result.

This morning Daniel and I decide to head over to Home Affairs to get his passport – in case we decide to have business meetings on a warm beach in Mozambique (and why not?) … and I’m once again reminded of terribly poor service.

As an internet based business it’s even more important to offer excellent service. Your clients don’t have a face to put to the name. This is why you need to figure out how you’re going to support your clients from afar. Do you have proper support procedures? Do clients have a way to complain if something hasn’t gone smoothly, and how will you deal with it?

At Webexposure HQ we’re using the Winter Doldrums to plan our support structures and complaints procedures. Maybe you’d like to do the same?

A Backup! A Backup! My Kingdom for a Backup!

OK, so maybe this is a bit dramatic, but I quite nicely deleted my entire blog by mistake. Backup is kaput; non-functional; finis. As in dead.

So we’ve lost all our past ramblings … how frustrating. Even my passionate plea to the horrid French to leave my pizza alone. All gone!

I suppose it’s a great way to get started again! To start things fresh, I’ve commissioned CrushLabs to create a new theme for my blog that will fit in with my corporate image. Courtney, if you’re reading this – Hello!

The last two months have been an absolute whirlwind – but boy has it been fun! I will definitely be keeping everyone up to date with some of the developments! For one, I was fortunate to have some air-time with Leila Smith of Voice of the Cape Radio – and boy is that fun!

Since it’s about 3am here in good old Cape Town, I thinik it’s time to turn in.

So, my free tip for today: Keep Backups!!!
