I had an interesting meeting with a German client today. Something he said went “click” in my head and it’s been making me think all evening: Who exactly are your clients, Tony?
Who do I want my clients to be?
Webexposure is rapidly moving from an entry-level Internet Marketing company to middle-of-the-range … so how do I find such customers?
I actually pitched the question to my client (ok, bad form, I know) but his answer was so simple it was astounding: Where do they hang out? And who do they hang out with?
He gave an example. His business targets luxury clients – People who don’t bat an eyelid to pay for a driver instead of hiring a car for themselves (there are people like that!). He found his clients on holidays!
He booked himself a holiday on Rovos Rail and picked up amazing business contacts!
Isn’t that a “wow”? Makes me wanna book a trip right away! hehehe
Anyway, it just got me to thinking: Who are my clients? Where do they hang out? How am I getting myself close to them?
